Fitz-Hugh-Curtis: There is a syndrome called Fitz-Hugh-Curtis of inflammation in the abdomen that can include the appendix and lining of the liver. It is caused by chlamydia and gonorrhea usually. However, the liver enzymes are usu. normal or slightly elevated. If you have high elevation of liver enzymes over 2 x's normal, hepatitis is more likely. http://www.ccjm.org/content/71/3/233.full.pdf
