4-6 months: It is a treatment that you may want to continue to both suppress future ovarian cysts and endometriosis, not only birth control. Usually 4-6 months continuously low estrogen and progesterone. If you have high blood pressure or develop it or smoke, you will need closer monitoring. Always best to stop smoking if you do. No assumptions made, though.
