Bag that idea...: Unless you feel really sick, probably not. Most "eye bags" or "dermatochalasia" are caused by age,gravity or both. Many people collect some fluid around the eyes during sleep that goes away standing up, but after several years it may persist because the skin gets stretched.Instead of sleeping upright, find a good plastic surgeon for a blepharoplasty.-when a lot of people say "Gee, you look tired!"

No.: Apical petrositis (petrous apicitis) or infection of the petrous apex of the temporal bone does not cause eye bags. Apical petrositis can be associated with a draining ear, mastoiditis, and pain behind the eye. "Eye bags" can be caused by numerous unrelated other things.
