Has this been: medically evaluated? If not, the source of pain should be assessed. Besides conventional evaluation and treatment consider adjunctive treatment with acupuncture.

Neuralgia: From you description of pain,it is possible you may have neuralgia,if in past you had shingles,would leave you with this kind of pain,other cause may l,pressure or pinched nerves,in back of neck,ask your doctor ,if he evaluate on this alone.a trial of tegratol,neurontin (gabapentin) ,may be worthwhile
