Possibly: 1)Paraovarian cysts arise from the mesothelium, a membrane that forms the lining of several body cavities: including the covering the internal reproductive organs of women. What actually causes them to arise is unknown. 2)The cyst they remove won't come back but you could get another 3) Any surgery has risks> your doctor will go through these risks with you prior to any surgery. Not the one: taken out. A true para-ovarian cyst is a remnant of when your organs were developing as a fetus. These should not come back. However, ovarian cysts do form and usually go away without treatment. Some do require surgical treatment but this is not common. Make sure you follow up with your GYN doctor
