Cervical nerve root: More likely a pinched nerve in the neck. (Cervical radiculopathy). Viral infection can do this too (shingles) Do you have a skin rash? Did you injure your neck? There is an easy way to check for blood flow issues (does your radial pulse go away when you lift your arm up? If when you tilt your head toward your shoulder do you get pain or electrical like sensation on the same side ? (pinched nerve)
