Developmental peds: A developmental pediatrician specializes in developmental and behavioral problems in children, including autism, Down Syndrome, ADD and some other issues. If you are looking for a developmental pediatrician in your area, you can ask your general pediatrician for a referral or you can look on the American Academy of Pediatrics website: www.aap.org.

3: 1) a neurodevelopmental pediatrician 2) a child psychiatrist 3) a pediatric neurologist The first is rare- they usually work at Universities. Please research all candidates and make sure they have board certification e.g not just boarded in adult neurology or adult psychiatry. They need to have done extra fellowships hence a board certification number specific for this area. Take care
