Not usually: I'm assuming that you are referring to the posterior communicating artery providing blood flow to the right side of the brain. This is usually a congenital (inborn) change and does not usually produce problems in normal patients. Take care and stay healthy!

Hi,MRA of the brain results show bilateral hypoplastic P1 segment with both posterior communicating arteries dilated in the sense of fetal circulation. Worry? I am having headaches, blurry vision and low concentration, mood swings. Couse? Tnx?
CTA results any of this concerning ? Mild vertebrobasilar tortuosity seen. Slightly small caliber vertebral and basilar arteries seen and there is prominent caliber left posterior cerebral arteries seen with slightly small caliber P1?
