Bite site: Probably no worry. Scratching may have ruptured tiny blood vessels and the "bruise" is blood extravasated into the surrounding tissue. As long as it does not get worse it should very slowly resolve.

No: if U are sure it's a mosquito. If it's another insect like a tic you may want to have this checked. Next time try not to scratch, I know it's very tempting. Some rubbing alcohol to the bite will help dampen the itchiness next time.

Nope: Sounds like you broke the blood vessels underneath with all your scratching. That being said, do you bruise easily? If you do and this is not an isolated incident, you might want to see your regular physician to see why that is.

Probably not: Mosquitoes have an anticoagulant in their saliva, so bruising is common. Get help if there are signs of infection. Signs of infection can include: increased swelling, redness, tenderness, ^ pain, warmth, red streaks, purulent drainage, swollen lymph nodes or fever.
