In brief, PD involve: 1) experience frequent, unexpected panic attacks that aren’t tied to a specific situation. 2) worry a lot about having another panic attack. 3) behave differently because of the panic attacks, such as avoiding places where you’ve previously panicked.

Panic attacks sxs:: anxiety; rapid, pounding heart; chest tightness/pain; shortness of breath w hyperventilation; hot /cold flashes; butterflies in stomach, nausea or vomiting; tingling of mouth or extremities; ^ sweating; feeling faint or lightheaded; headache or shaking, difficulty swallowing or tight throat; They usually peak w/i 10 mins.
