Have a colon stricture, relatively few symptoms, no diarrhea, no constipation. surgeon says no need for surgery now, use fiber supplement. help?

Take the fiber.: Colon stricture are usually not a problem if small. This can come from previous surgery, diverticular disease or some type of inflammatory bowel disease. Usually the fiber diet and keeping yourself regular will help . If you have not had a colonoscopy you need one. Follow the doctors advice and make sure he has not other dietary advice.

Great!: The only thing I would add is to drink plenty of water daily to keep you well hydrated and avoid constipation or stool impaction. Should you begin to have symptoms I would go back to the surgeon to check if the stricture has become bigger. Best of luck!
