Throat: Great question. Many times what we eat is the trigger so see if you can find the food trigger. Also go see your doctor to see if you should take an antacid as well. Drink water to dilute the acid as well

Antacids, raise head: Try any of these medications from the drug store to help lower acid production in the stomach: Pepcid AC, Tagamet HB, Prevacid, Prilosec OTC, Zantac (ranitidine).. It would also help to elevate your head when sleeping to allow gravity to keep stomach acid from moving up your esophagus(food pipe). You can do this by placing multiple pillows behind your head or placing small 2x4 blocks under legs of head of bed.
