It happens: Various reports list the C section rate between 20 & 30% with some variation throughout the country. The possible need becomes more apparent as you get closer to the time of delivery when the pattern of babies growth is easier to evaluate. You may or may not need the CS based on baby size or many other issues. Discuss any concerns with the doc.
