Hepatitis: The number of potential reasons for liver cell inflammation is very large, and the only way to work this out is through extensive testing. One of the most common sources for elevation of hepatic enzymes is non-alcoholic hepatic steatosis (fatty liver). Your doctor should be able to work this out effectively. Best wishes.
