How many hours of sleep should i have before the night before an eeg?

It depends: It depends on why you're having an EEG. You should ask the physician who ordered the EEG or the office where it will be performed regarding how sleep-deprived you should be. The general rule of thumb is that sleeping for less than your routine sleep duration may increase the chances of detecting abnormalities, if they exist.
