Is it common to have daily low grade fever after emergency laparotomy? it's been 8 weeks since surgery. blood test show no current infection.

Fever: Hi, no it is not normal to have fever after any surgery, but be careful about what you are calling fever, the fever definition is a temperature of equal to more than 100.4, if your temp is higher or equal to this number then your doctor should figure out why, any blood collection anywhere? Infection? Hope you feel better soon.
