Its ok to take: that is a standard dose for an adult although he probably told you to take it 3 times per day. Eating yogurt once a day while on antibiotic may help keep your bowels normal. your dentist probably gave it to you since he did some surgery (like tooth removal or root canal) and is trying to prevent the area from getting infected

Amoxicillin: The dose of amoxyl for a young adult like you is 250-500 mg three times per day. So, a total daily dose of 1500 mg is OK. If you have taken one time dose of 1500 mg, that is OK too (one time only). You may continue at 500 mg three times per day
