i'm 5 months and 2 weeks pregnant & when i last went in for my ultrasound sound they said my baby had " mildly echogenic kidneys" what does that mean?

Echogenic kidneys: This phrase indicates compact tissue. This may be normal and likely is. In a growing person or an adult, echogenic kidneys indicate some scarring. I do not think your child in utero would have scar tissue. You are blessed that cysts were not seen and that dilated hydronephrosis was not seen.
