Floaters: probably not.. Floaters are fairly common. Usually cells sloughing off within the eye itself. Occasionally if there is an small tear or retinal detachment, there may be a little more floaters. If that is the case, seek help from your physician.

Floaters: Floaters are common for people to experience during their lifetime. They are cells within the fluid inside the eye, sometimes they briefly distort the vision. It is hard to imagine that anyone has never had these. Xanax is not known to cause floaters. Could it be you are noticing these for the first time? If they are really bothering you an eye exam is a good idea.

Prob not: The new floaters are not likely related to the xanax (alprazolam). New floaters should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist as they can be a sign of more serious eye problems such as a retinal tear, retinal detachment or hemorrhage inside the eye. Make an appointment with an ophthalmologist.
