If not work, Prescription Topical Tobramycin opthalmic ointment is category B. Concerns in 1st trimester. No evidence of harm 2nd or third trimester

Styes: A sty, also known as a chalazion, is best treated initially with hot compresses (at least ten minutes) and expression (squeezing). Done correctly and quickly enough, this method works 9 times out of 10. Imagine that one has to melt a large chunk of frozen butter and then squeeze it through a tube. If it is not working, one usually needs more heat. If necessary, surgical removal after delivery.
