Jaundice: You would have jaundice or yellowing of the skin. You can also have problems clotting as the liver produces most of your clotting factors. You might have problems processing alcohol or any other drug for that matter, because your liver metabolizes or processes all chemicals in your body. The liver is also the only internal organ in your body that can regenerate.

Wide variation: so many symptoms can be associated with liver disease... but early on, fatigue, abdominal pain/tenderness, musculoskeletal pains probably most common. with more advanced liver disease, jaundice (yellow eyes/skin), swelling in legs and abdomen, higher risk of bleeding. usually persistent/ progressive sxs rather than off and on - but there are always exceptions as well.
