Look to your diet: Constipation is abnormal in itself and is usually related to diet. Milk of magnesia, (magnesium hydroxide) mineral oil and similar thngs areover the counter for temporary measure, but you need to eat more vegetables and fruit.Leave the"junk" alone.

Many: Diet changes and increased fluids are key. Talk to your physician as some medications you may take could contribute. Consider starting with stool softeners or milk of mag and working up to MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) and mineral oil and then consider enemas. Avoud regular use of stimulant laxatives as they can make your bowels lazy so as to rely on chronic use. See your physician if not improving.
