Gastritis: Alcohol can be corrosive to the stomach lining. Some people are more sensitive than others. In your case alcohol seems to cause untoward reactions, it is best to avoid it.

Normal, for you: In most people this does not happen, but there is a physiologic reason for when it does. The alcohol gets quickly absorbed by the intestinal cells, which then shut down absorption of water from within the intestines. Therefore, there is extra water within the intestines, which comes out as diarrhea. One glass of wine a day, may be beneficial for your heart arteries.
