? pregnant: if your HCG was positive in June but your last period was in july this is confusing if you meant the LMP was in july and the August HCG was positive the light bleeding could have been an implantation bleed. I would re-check a HCG or see your physician.

Probably: The most likely reason for the brief bleeding you describe is implantation. This means the fertilized egg has entered the uterus from the fallopian tube and has settled in. You should repeat the pregnancy test to assure you are still pregnant.

See your OB: The only way to know this is to give this time and to monitor your actual beta HCG levels to confirm a true pregnancy. Spotting in the first trimester is not uncommon, and if it is light and has subsided, you may be fine and into early stages of your first trimester ! Visit your OB to check to see if your B-HCG is on the rise, and to check the health of you and possibly your growing baby !
