Improved bilirubin: The improvement in the bilirubin levels may have been due to infectious hepatitis which has improved or a stone in the biliary tract which was passed. If your liver enzymes are now all normal and an ultrasound of the liver and gallbladder is normal there is no present evidence of chronic liver inflammation or fall stones. Of course heavy alcohol intake could also have caused bilirubin to rise.

Infection: repeat and make sure hepatic profile is normal.also any other signs--like weight loss?jaundice?just bilirubin elevation that became normal is unlikely to be cirrhosis/end stage
