A member asked:

I have a slight back pain today after doing some sit ups yesterday, did the sit ups cause this? should i be worried?

Certainly could: Depending how you do sit ups you can definitely pull a muscle in your back. The current trend is to do core exercises standing uo which reduces risk of back injury.

Not to worry: you probably strained the muscles during sit ups. While It is very good to exercise take care next time you do this! Watch that you have a proper surface to do this on and that your positioning is symmetrical and balanced.
