DIET, DIET, DIET: Before freaking out that you may have something really, well, freaky--keep a diet diary and see if certain foods set you off.Or,if you suspect something, stop eating it and see what happens,er,doesn't happen. If you want to wing it,try Beano when you eat beans or broccoli or soy or Lactaid with dairy and see if that helps. Both can be bought at your local discount drug store. After that, see your doc.

Look at your diet.: Gas can be caused by a number of things, dairy, soy, beans, fiber. It can also be aggravated by gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, too much soda pop, too much sugar. Some sugar substitutes can cause gas because they are made of sugar alcohols. These are found in diet candy and chewing gums. Over the counter Beano and Gas-X can help if you aren't using the sugar alcohols.
