Beta blockers: For high blood pressure, people take beta blocker medicine regularly. For tremor or for speaking-related tremor, they make take the medicine when needed. Beta blockers may cause drowsiness, light-headedness, or trouble sleeping. They also slow the heart rate more in some patients than in others.

You can: But it depends on what you are using beta-blockers for. The most common reason to use beta-blockers intermittently or as needed, is for situational anxiety, like public speaking. But they can make you feel fatigued or drowsy. Hope this helps.

It depends: It depends on what it is prescribed for & how your doctor prescribed it to be taken. If it is prescribed for eg hypertension or heart disease it is usually meant to be taken every day. Sometimes they are prescribed on an as needed basis eg for palpitations. They can make some people feel slow or sluggish, this should be discussed with your doctor for a dose adjustment or an alternative medication.
