Safe: Although it's not recommended as a tranquilizer, this second generation antihistamine is safe to take but is not recommended for pregnant women or women breastfeeding. It should not be mixed with alcohol, sedatives or tranquilizers. It is considered to cause less drowsiness than first generation antihistamines.
