Binge and purge: The person will often eat a lot of food in a short amount of time ( bingeing), usually in response to stress. The person will then feel guilt and self-loathing and will try to get rid of the food by vomiting, laxative use or other means (purging). If you are worried about someone's eating pattern, it is best to talk in a non-blaming tone and make the person aware that there is treatment.
