I don't have the : full report, but it sounds like there might be a new finding on screening mammography. The next step is usually a more complete imaging evaluation with diagnostic mammography and probably ultrasound. A final diagnostic code(BIRADS) for the nodule will be determined based on the imaging findings: benign(no followup),probably benign(6 month f/u), suspicious, highly suspicious( needle biopsy )

Need evaluation: Since this is a new nodule, additional evaluation is needed. The radiologist might have suggested diagnostic mammogram to include compression images and possible ultrasound. If a nodule is confirmed, then you may need to get a biopsy, preferably by a breast surgeon or a radiologist who is experienced in image guided breast biopsy.
