Yes it can: yes it can it take a while for the antibiotic to reach a therapeutic level in the blood so the cellulitis will get worst before it start getting better did you have iv antibiotic or oral because it does make a difference if the redness and pain continue to get worst specially if it is associated with chills you better go to the emergency room or at least let your doctor know how are you doing
