Yes: fuzzy vision has many causes but a complete eye exam by an opthalmologist w can certainly tell if you are losing your vision.

Eye exam: Sometimes and eye exam will reveal evidence of conditions that affect your vision. You are clever to examine this. If they do not find a cause, they may have other useful suggestions. It's a good place to start. If there was pain, like a throbbing pain, a migraine headache might be the cause.
