That is possible: And sometimes the medicine accidently goes into a vein, the veins aren't visualized, but the amount given for a labor epidural is small and is given in even smaller increments. If small amount goes into vein should be detected by anesthesiologist and adjustments made prior to inject more. Your nervous system is effected before your heart would be
