HbA1c: The A1c test measures an average of blood sugar trending for 3 months. It is highly predictive of overall diabetic control, but will not show much change in one month and is not a good predictor of outcome at such an early juncture. You should trend fasting blood sugars and 2 hour post-prandial sugars to see where you are at one month. Your next A1c should be in three months.

Probably not: The HgbA1c usually is a test over three months of how your blood sugars are impacting your health. Usually you cannot impact the HgbA1c that quickly. Perhaps if you show your fasting blood sugars and pre meal sugars you can show that the oval sugars are lower which will lead to a lower HgbA1c Do not expect it to lower that quickly
