Nerve compression: If there is numbness in the hands and associated spine pain, then most commonly the nerves in the neck (cervical spine) are being pinched/compressed from something (disc herniation, bone overgrowth, etc). Sometime the nerves into the hands can also be pinched along the way at the elbow or wrist (list carpal tunnel syndrome). See a specialist to walk you through the work-up.
