Depend: it depend if you have an infection or not most surgeons will preferred to leave it open to the air to heal faster and to soaked it in warm water with epsilon salt daily since it is draining i recommend antibiotic ointment and light dressing while you are working and shoes off open to the ail while you are home it should get better very soon if you suspect infection go to see your doctor
