PRP or Prolotherapy: PRP = Platelet Rich Plasma Injection. Prolotherapy is an injection of a local irritant such as Dextrose. Both PRP and Prolotherapy have been shown to help heal and reduce pain in musculoskeletal injuries that have not been helped by conventional means. They work theoretically by calling the body's attention to the site of injury.

First and foremost: Confirm your diagnosis. When traditional modalities don't work, make sure that the problem. For example, make sure its Tendinosis and not a tear. Next, review what you did. You did stretching, were the excercises eccentric? These seem most effective according to the literature. Next, are there any biomechanical issues that are not being addressed? A limb length discrepancy? Pronation?

Hard to Heal.: I hate to break it to you but: running and Achilles tendonosis are not compatible with each other. You can expect more of the same considering age activity and diagnosis.
