Testing important: If your symptoms have gone it probably was yeast but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be tested for other sexually transmitted infections. If you are sexually active, regular testing is important to pick up problems before you develop symptoms. Regular condom use is a great way to prevent STIs and pregnancy.

Without testing?: Untreated vaginal STDs become less symptomatic. And even asymptomatic. But they can prove dangerous and over time make a female infertile. If you could have an STD then you need testing. Infections do not clear on their own. Ever.
