Lump in throat: Lump in throat can be due to: foreign body (did you swallow something?), virus (cold: start Cold eeze asap if feel coming down with cold; mono); bacterial infection (if very painful, PCP can check from strep), tumor (benin or malignant less common depending on risk factors). Your PCP can help determine cause if persists. Continue drinking plenty of water, take Cold eeze if feels like cold, Vit D

Allergy symptoms: This could be a symptom of allergic rhinitis and post nasal drip. I suggest you try an allergy medication and if this doesn't help see your physician.

Lump: May be acid reflux or just dryness. If you have no fever, drink more water and try an antacid such as zantac (ranitidine). If still present see an ENT. Look under LPR on the web
