Achilles tendonitis: there are several considerations including achilles tendonitis, possible heel spur, possible plantar fasciitis. Usually underlying all of these diagnoses of the foot are altered gait mechanics and the way that pressure is transmitted through the foot. Therefore evaluation by a podiatrist and consideration for custom orthotics and possibly even new shoes is appropriate

If there was an injury, fall, where you turned your ankle and you can walk on it with tolerable pain, it is probably sprained, but rarely can be broken. (I had a diabetic patient who walked on a complex fracture with tolerable pain.) Rest, elevation, ice, compress
