A member asked:

When i tilt my head back to r or left & lie down, thick, clear nasal drainage suddenly runs out. could that trapped drainage be causing my dizziness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergic Rhinitis: Yes this could be causing dizziness. Some of our balance centers are located in the middle ear which could be blocked. A decongestant such as Claritin-D, Allegra-D or Zyrtec-D may be helpful along with a nasal spray such as Flonase or nasonex (mometasone).
