Yes: If the stone breaks loose from the kidney and goes into the ureter there is a huge amount of pain in the offing during pregnancy. If a Urologist can perform lithotripsy(stone breakup) or cystoscopy with stone retrieval prior to pregnancy, then it would be best. Also, urinary tract infections are commonly focused around a stone and are often chronic and can lead to a major kidney infection.
