Time to get checked: Most sore throats are caused by viral illnesses and usually get better in 5-7 days. If you think the pain is not improving at all by 5 days, that's concerning. You've put up a good, brave fight so far - but time to get checked out by your doctor. Nothing to go to the er tonight for, but tomorrow for sure. Hope you get well soon!
