Water intoxication: Hi, depends on your kidney function if the kidney is normal it can clear up to 1 lit of fluid per hour, also it depends if your serum Sodium is normal or low, in a situation called SIADH, a hormone is being secreted from Hypothalamus inappropriately which decreases the Sodium level in blood and that could become dangerous. What makes drink a lot of water? Do you feel thirsty a lot or just habit?
