Its best to get: pierce with someone or a doctor who does it regularly. We have sterile individual piercings for our patients so there is no allergy risk or infection. So call and ask doctors office if they have sterile individual piercings, I suggest

Most docs don't: do ear piercings. But, as a public health doctor, I am pleasantly surprised about the low number of infections and serious complications from both tattoo parlors or piercing places. Your county may or may not regulate these places but most use good infection control practices. I think it is good to view their environment and ask questions of infection control practices and complication rates.

Pierce: I personally do ear piercing as well as other piercings in order to provide a safe environment for my patients to get pierced. Call around to some pediatrician offices, you may find some that are willing to do for you. Good Luck
