See a doctor.: Ear infection is usually treated with antibiotics prescribed by a doctor. Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are acceptable OTCs for pain control. See your doctor for curative treatment and stronger pain medication if the OTCs don't work for the pain. Pain control without killing the infection can lead to hearing loss or worse. Go to your doctor.
