Use same drops: You can use same drops in both years. If you ran out of drops, than just call your doctor or get 2% acetic acid

Depends: If you were recently diagnosed with swimmers ear and you have exactly the same symptoms in the other, you can use your ear drops in both ears safely and effectively (swimmers ear can occur in both ears at the same time). If the symptoms are even slightly different, a re-evaluation is warranted.
