A member asked:

I have a 1 month old who is fussy and restless. he's farting and pulling up the legs to the stomach. is it safe to give him coccyntal or gripe water.

Gripe water: Although there is no clinical evidence of the efficacy of Gripe water, it is frequently used in small amounts with no significant problems. It's most important to determine WHY a newborn is fussy and restless. This is often due to a formula intolerance, but if combined with fever, bloody stools, vomiting, abdominal distention, or decreased stooling urinating, needs eval ASAP.
