Yes benadryl (diphenhydramine) is safe: but would make you drowsy, so don't drive if you are on benadryl (diphenhydramine) as much as you can, as said before there is no such thing as perfume allergy, you have a chronic inflammation in your nose and sinuses and need to be seen by an ENT doctor or an Allergist, good luck

Try other options: Perfumes cause local irritation in the nose and eyes, which leads to symptoms very similar to allergies. But what you are experiencing is not a true allergic reaction. So Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may not be very helpful, and can make you sleepy. Try over the counter Zyrtec or Allegra and if still not better, then you will need to go see a doctor for prescription nose sprays.
