It is safe to use benadryl (diphenhydramine) for my perfume esence allergy? at my highschool, almost everyone uses a perfume and it will be very hard for me. i am 16.

Try other options: Perfumes cause local irritation in the nose and eyes, which leads to symptoms very similar to allergies. But what you are experiencing is not a true allergic reaction. So Benadryl (diphenhydramine) may not be very helpful, and can make you sleepy. Try over the counter Zyrtec or Allegra and if still not better, then you will need to go see a doctor for prescription nose sprays.
